Nope, there are pictures of this fine rusty orange colored sks floating around CGN someplace.
Not so much the wash/rinse cycle, but rather the drying cycle afterwards....

Someone was afraid of solvents, QTips and hard work. Thought the dishwasher would be quicker to get the grease off. Only he forget to just use the Wash cycle and to immediately apply oil. And completely missed the part that the dishwasher trick was only recommended for greasy stocks.

Lol ya you caught me it was my gun. Oh no wait my guns finnish is just the way I got it when I bought both rifles one for me and one for him. But if there is enough interest I will borrow his dishwasher and give it a go. It will be on the ee for a bit more with all the work done to it.

BTB - Cleaning a FA in a DW is not as absurd as it sounds. I know a couple of guys that routinely clean their SS BP revolvers that way.
