Excellent example of a pretty rare K98k. Lots of unknowns and mysteries to uncover in the commercial builds. Would be an interesting area to gather data on.

I have some rather odd old Mausers, but I don't know enough about them yet to make a sensible post. I posted about one some time back, and , of course, got the "not scarce at all, lots around" usual negative line. I have been scouring guns show tables for 30+ years and had only seen the one that I own, so, yeah, lots of them around.

Keep posting pics and related info about those rifles, whether scarce or not. It certainly helps those of us who are in the dark into the daylight!

It’s slightly bent. Likely why it was rejected.
