I remember once i tried to carve something out of wood... (a custome baseball bat) All i got left afterwards was 2 pairs of chop stick and some tooth picks....

that's been my experience. I've got zero plans to produce a dragonov m14 stock version in fiberglass as i believe they really only look good when done right.... in a nice laminate or solid dark wood......

How is the overall weight and the stiffness of the foreend? The right balance of these two factors will determine how practical it is for some of us.

I would also recommend making alowance for a good bipod mount out near the end andmaybe inlet a channel for the guys who want to run a benchrest handstop?
