If you can find it, eley practise, standard or trainer (something like that) worked really well for me and is not too expensive - or at least it wasn't years back.

CCI Blazer is another that has shot really well for me.

Thanks Jerry for the suggestions Jerry, I'll keep a look out for those.

I also forgot to mention that the Timney trigger seems to have gotten lighter after all this testing. I don't have a trigger gauge but it seems lighter to me.
 
With my 16" fluted DLask barrel I did an ammo test at 20 yards indoors and found it shot 38 grain copper American Eagle ammo as accurately as many of my target 22LR rifles shoot match grade ammo. I put mine together hoping for an accurate rifle that shot cheap varmint ammo. The results surprised me in a very good way. Worth a try.
