I have been looking everywhere and can’t seem to find just the takedown barrel ring and locking mechanism for my Dlask receiver.
Brownells sells the complete receiver with those parts, but I already have a better receiver and just need those parts. Plus the Brownells needs my PAL approved before they can send it which takes longer.
So if they are nowhere to be found my options are buy a complete takedown and strip it for parts or order the Brownells receiver.
Any other options? Has anyone else done this before?

Unless you're planning to do some serious metal work. I'm doubtful that you can convert a non TD to a TD.

I looked at it pretty closely and it looks to me like Ruger just added the tension nut into the receiver and fasten then add the locking mechanism where the dovetail was. This makes sense from a manufacturing perspective as you don’t need to machine an entirely different receiver just for the takedown. Ruger just added 2 pieces and then machined the barrel thinner to pass through the ring and machine in the flats on the barrel to lock it in. This also allows them to still use the same size barrel blanks which I think would be more cost effective.
Am I seeing this wrong. School me please

Well after doing some research I now realize that the hole is larger on the takedown and the ring is pressed in.
Converting a Dlask receiver is out of the question. Be cool if they made one to go with their 12.5” barrel.
