Archangel 10/22

Here's mine, with a Phantom 5.56 flash supressor//

i initially had mine mounted in a bell & carlson anschutz style stock but decided to try out a hogue overmolded seeing as how they are so popular

but after handling the rifle for a bit with the hogue, i think i like the B&C better, it feels lighter and shoulders alot better.
if anyone is looking for a hogue overmolded, mine will be up in the EE shortly.

You can't see it, but it's in there :D
The 12" dlask terminates right at the end of a sr22 handguard.

How long is the flash hider that you have on that barrel ? It looks like without the FH, the barrel would end right before the end of the fore end ?

You can actually see a little of the end of the barrel in that picture if you look realy closely. It ends about 1"8" in front of the handguard.
That "flash hider" is just the end cap off of a spike's fake supressor, it doesn't add more than half an inch.

Left it out.
I also have a sims barrel vibration damper that fits tightly inside the handguard and captures the barrel, but the accuracy difference was negligible.

Love the set-ups all..

Newb question... am i likely to get serious barrel droop floating a 12" barrel with the Archangel stock? and does anyone know a method to solve this specifically on the archangel stock. PM me please as i'd rather not hi-jack the thread.

thanks,

barrel dont droop its the archangel stock that does its a simple fix just buy putting in a washer on eithyer side when you attach stock...just google it under archangel stock fix.:D

What are the benefits of a shorter barrel? why isn't it restricted? Don't you loose accuracy with a shorter barrel?

i like the short barrel for the weight savings and portability factor, and rimfires are only restricted if the overall length of the gun exceeds a set length, i think its around 26".

my rifle is a tack driver at 25 yards, like dime sized 10 shot groups, i was actually shooting flies off the target board a few weeks back (they were on the board because there was a dead crow under the board :) ) but at 50 yards the 10 shot groups were spreading out to 1 1/4".

but i am starting to wonder if that's due to my scope, it's a leupold vx-I 2-7x32 and it doesn't have AO, and i find that i can't get the crosshairs focused perfectly, i get a lightly visible second crosshair.

overall i am very happy with my Dlask 12" barrel :)

does dlask make a 14" barrel? I don't like the look where the barrel is covered entirely by the hanguard! if I didn't order a 4 pc rail set I probably would chop the stock handguard to fit a 12" barrel for CQB style.

Also, do they have standard flash hiders that can screw on?
