Dlask 12" barrel - let's see em in your rigs

does dlask make a 14" barrel? I don't like the look where the barrel is covered entirely by the hanguard! if I didn't order a 4 pc rail set I probably would chop the stock handguard to fit a 12" barrel for CQB style.

Also, do they have standard flash hiders that can screw on?

Not sure about a 14, but 16 for sure. As for a 12" barrel, dlask makes a shorter 7" hand guard with complete rails now. I believe the OEM tube is 9.5".

so if I attached a standard m4 birdcage flash supressor to the 12" barrel would it stick outside of the handguard, or inside the handguard? and if outside of the handguard by how much for your average flash suppressor size?

what im doing is getting the 12.5 and adding the levang (its about 2 inches in length....14.5 inch oal....presto! they also just released a barrel brace for inside the handguard that matches the thicker barrel.... man those guys are great! they're custom making me a barrel/comp package, ill post it when its complete!

does anyone know the exact weight on the 12 inch barrels?

I have mine apart right now, Ill see if I can weigh it. Mine is the target barrell and it is fricken heavy. I figured the weight would be a wash considering its 6 inches shorter than the stocker but I was way wrong. The balance is terrible.

That's good to know. I was thinking of getting the Dlask heavy barrel for the SR-22 but will probably hold off for the standard profile since the wifey will be using her too.

What kinda ammo are you guys having the best luck with?

I know that CCI and Winchester HV are a no go in mine.

I put the Kid bolt/Kid extractor in mine. I actually tried to make it jam yesterday since it was only my second time trying the Dlask Bull 12" with the Kid bolt installed. Golden bullets, white/black Dynapoints, 333 Winchester and American couldn't even make it hiccup.

I didn't really give my original bolt/extractor a chance to see how reliable it was with the Dlask 12". I had some jams every mag the first few hundred rounds or so and it seemed to go away but I never really put enough rounds after to really know if the jams were gone. I just like that fact that the Kid stuff is made for tight target barrels like the Dlask. Feel ultra reliable when shooting. I am not changing anything else on my kit now.

It's really fun shooting my .22 again! :D

x2 on the fun shooting the .22 again !!

My 12.5" heavy runs everything.
I believe it weighed between 800 and 900 grams.
I have a heavy taper 11.5" as well (650 grams) and prefer the heavier 12.5" as it provides a bit more stability for offhand shots. I am using it with a relatively heavy ace socom buttstock though.
I'd sell the 11.5" if anyone is interested. EDIT- barrel is sold.

I picked up my SR-22 today and took her straight to Dlask for some goodies! Josef was awesome to deal with and installed everything super-quick while I waited. The quality and craftsmanship of these parts is spectacular.

I had the following installed:

12.5" SR-22 barrel factory contour (.750")
Levang compensator
Full rail set
Sling adapter

Even with the 12.5" barrel she's still pretty hefty. I'm glad I went this route over the .920" heavy. Can't wait to get to the range!
