Just wondering which compensator/flash hider people would recommend for the 16" Dlask barrel. I was tempted to pick up the Tactical Solutions one, but couldn't decide between matte or gloss. Hate to have the gloss one be too shiny, or the matte one too dull...

If anyone has any better suggestions, I'm all ears.

And pics are worth 1000 words. It never hurts to see the slick 10/22s people are piecing together around here :D.

Here is a shot of mine,

Dlask 16" non fluted barrel and Dlask muzzle break. It doesnt really do anything except protect the crown and make sound twice as loud. The barrel is quite black in colour as well as the finnish on the break its a good match and a very cheap solution

Cool thanks for the pic. My 10/22 will look almost exactly like it (Hogue stock, 16" heavy barrel, and eventually some kind of compensator/flash hider/muzzle brake tacked on the end). Doesn't look too bad, but I would like to avoid making my 10/22 louder if at all possible, which is why I've been trying to avoid the brakes. Gives me something to think about however.

So far, not bad

As you can see from the_dude306 Dlask has really steped up it's QC and defenatly improved there product line but still I am left wanting it in a fluted barrel for quicker cool down rate. Also IanC you do not have a muzzle brake installed on your rifle. That is a Dlask flash hidder that will not allow the gophers to see were your shooting from.
AR 15 flashhider [DAR701 79]
The flash hider is machined from 4140 bar stock steel, then case-hardened to provide a tough core and hard surface for maximum strength, black-parkerized finish. 21/4" long, .875" diameter. Four specially angled flutes dissipate the gas but contain the unburned powder allowing increased residual burn for less visible flash. The flash hider incorporates a helix design essentially tightening itself when the weapon is fired and helps align exiting barrel gas to improve accuracy with all bullet types. Fits all AR 15 threaded 1/2x28TPI.Black oxide finish.

I think that dlask should make up some .50 bmg style brakes for us loyal Dlask 10/22 customers.

That would be awesome, in a sort of tongue in cheek way.

I just found that site the other day ... I think I'll be making some phone calls and getting a 16 inch barrell for a build ... very nice stuff on his site! :D

Since we're talking barrels - I'll be ordering a 11.5 semi heavy from Fab shortly, but also wanted to get a 16" barrel. Was having difficulty deciding between the dlask fluted and the Green Mountain, black fluted...

thoughts? Opinions?
