Anyone use these mags? been use chip McCormick shooting stars just wondering how the Dlask mags compare, the price seems right.

I just picked up 4 of them last week. To be honest I'm quite surprised by the quality of them for the price. They function well/drop free in both my 1911's (one's a Dlask custom the other is a Colt). I'd say give it a go...

dlask mags are the best mags I ever tried. and I've tried them all.....strong springs, anti tilt follower, locks the slide back every time. never had any problems with them ever

I don't like how the base pads look but they're true 8 round mags, not 7 round mags with a modified follower to squeeze one more round in. mags like that are almost impossible to get in the magwell with 8 full rounds. dlask mags seat just fine loaded with 8 rounds.

dlask mags are ACT mags made in Italy with Dlask engraved on them. same ones a lot of other companies use with thier name engraved on them. like Novak

I cant make those Dlask mags work in my STI Spartan. The Act mags it came with work perfect but the Dlasks are extremely stiff. When loaded to 8 rounds the slide will not push the first round out of the mag.

The nose of the round dives into the mag and gets stuck or it jambs into the feed ramp. Tried clipping one loop of the springs but it did not help. Ready to dump these mags and go with Tripp Research mags.

Oddly, I just started having this problem as well. The first 1000 rounds went error free. But now, suddenly, all the mags now seem to have feeding issues, particularly in the first 1-2 rounds stripped off. The last 5 or 6 rounds strip off correctly.

As with you, the first or second round seems to nosedive low into the ramp, and makes feeding very difficult. This is odd, as it was not happening before. Usually the reverse is true. I had a look, and it appears that although the follower is anti-dive, and in fact it does not dive. However, after 5 or 6 rounds loaded, the rounds themselves, seem to nose dive, regardless of what the follower is doing. The result, is once I load to 8 rounds, the round below it is point down in the mag, so when the top round is stripped, there is nothing below it to stop it from popping the nose down.

I don't know why this is happening, but I can't help but wonder if it is the ammo itself. The follower isn't diving at all.

Exactly what he ^^^ said. Nothing else to add. .... almost :D ....

ATC (made in Italy) mags, made exceptionally well, they function as supposed to - each and every time. Fit and finish are excellent.

Some (at least) STI guns ship with exactly same mags.

Also, you will have LESS to worry about if you shoot/compete outdoors, while dropping the mags in the sand/dirt/puddles/grass etc. The smaller 'witness' holes are - da less 'sh1t' you get inside mag when it hits ground.

My Sti spartan came with one and that's why I was going to order more. I would hate to order four more only to have feed issues. How is Dlask on returns if there is a problem?

Freedom Vent. (S.H.) sells the same exact mags. Call him; see for YOURSELF what 'route' is cheaper for you - DLask or FV?!

Mags are 'the shoot'.

Why did you NOT get extra mags along your Spartan order? Why did you NOT think ahead a step or two?

The dlasks work great in my Nork, I find Chip McCormick mags not to work to well in mine. There are about 79 different 1911 mag designs out there and the chip uses a flatter follower to get the 10rds in.
