What are they like? The Dlask website is less than forthcoming with details regarding their pistols.

Do they use any MIM parts? What type of barrels and internals do they use? How do they compare to similarly priced pistols like STI, higher end Kimbers etc...? Searches on this forum have not offered much info and a range report is non existent.

Opinions and observations greatly appreciated.

Joe did up my Norinco and I couldn't be happier. He has a very large following in Europe where hs guns are sought after. He knows his way around 1911's. If I needed a cutom 1911 built he would be my first choice.

Take Care

I've handled about half a dozen Dlask 1911's over the last 20 years or so, every one of them was tight, accurate and exceptionally finished, if he was working in the US he'd be a household name. Really superb 1911's. As soon as I get rid of a few guns I don't really need I'm going to take the plunge and order one myself. The parts he doesn't make are well known brand names (Ed Brown beavertails for example), the parts he does make are machined (after all he's a machinist, not a moulder).

There's a review of a Dlask 9mm Commander here:http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=174832&highlight=Dlask+Commander+1911

Make sure its Joe himself doing the work!!!!!! Not the chimps
