So my buddy has a Remington 870 that is adorned with a Dlask 8.5" barrel. He doesn't know what he wants for it because he thinks he paid $400 and I think he would have likely paid a bit more. It's in good shape. I was thinking of giving him $500 and calling it fair. I was under the impression that a Dlask manufactured one is worth more than a Dominion Arms but maybe I'm wrong. What's a used one worth?

they are more like 900 ish new. A Dlask barrel on its own is over 300 bucks, plus the cost of an 870 express, plus labour to cut and thread the mag tube. $500 is a great deal depending on condition, or just a fair price if it's well loved. I'd jump on it....

was his Wife in the room when he said he paid $400??.....

Ha ha. No. I think he was thinking of another gun. There were actually two that I have been offered in the last month. The other was right around the same price. I might have to pick one up.

Dlask just recently had the 8.5 barrels for $180, but if it is a proper Remington gun (as opposed to a Chinese one with a Dlask barrel stuck on it), I would say $500 is fair. (I don't buy into the philosophy that a used gun is worth more than a new one)

I built mine from a Wingmaster with a Dlask barrel for about $500, and while it is a nice range toy, I would still grab my 14" for anything serious. I have since had a 14" barrel made by Dlask to fit the 8.5 frame
