After enjoying this baby for a few months now, I decided to put a Speedfeed stock on it and twin Mesa side saddles and Scattergun Technologies Ghost Ring sights. She now holds 16 rounds with one in the chamber. You like uh? Yes, No?

IMO The right side saddle is going overboard. Otherwise it looks nice. I keep on thinking about putting ghost ring sights on mine but the poor shotties just don't get enough priority.

btw - you may want to turn the shells around - bases down on the saddle and to the rear in the stock.
 
When you grab the shells from the carrier you can stick them straight into the mag tube without doing any contorting. Flip shotty upside down and stick them in versus pulling them out of the top and fumbling to get them into the mag tube.

For some, it's a more natural movement to pull downward on the base and load with the thumb; less manipulation of the hands from a natural shooting position, and less obstruction of the sight picture than if one pulls upwards.

It's just a matter of personal preference.

A very, very good earthquake kit - that will definately have everything you need to survive for 72 hours.(or enable you to acquire it :D )
 
Thanks for the comments guys. Glen Valour you are correct. I had the slugs in backwards in the stock. I also agree with the comment about flipping the shotgun upside down and being able to dump rounds into the mag tube quicker. I'll try flipping the saddled rounds upside down and see if they stay in place. I played with it in its new configuration tonight trying to get used to it. I must say the recoil is felt much less with the Speedfeed stock. I got the full size stock cause I'm a big guy but you can get them shorter. The pistol grip made a huge difference. I put some ultra powerfull slugs down range tonight and the recoil felt great. Not nearly as punishing as I thought it might be. If only I could find a better forend for it now.
 
i think the dual mesa shot shell carriers are a bit excessive for me, and like 9 said, the LOP is a bit on the [way] too long side ;)

on a plus side, the shell carries do look awesome the way they are offset!! :D
 
What does "LOP" mean? Is it "length of pull"? If so, it's the same as the original 870 stock. Any shorter and it would be uncomfortable for me.

Yes, Nine doesn't have "gibbon" arms :p and would be better suited to a Speedfeed IV-S ... the stock "we" with gibbon arms would use with body armour.
