I thought I'd post a little review of the Dlask AR15 Charging Handle I just bought.
As usual, the machining is perfect. I could find virtually no evidence of tool marks and there are no sharp corners on the unit.
Here's a couple pics of the latch. It's scalloped on three sides and offers a good grippy surface.
The following pics show it in comparison to the original charging handle.
Installation was perfect. It slid into the receiver smoothly and locks in nicely. Charging the rifle is with the Dlask unit is quick and easy. There's lots of real-estate to grab onto, making the motion effortless. I could detect no binding or roughness with the unit installed. It is supposed to direct gas away from the shooter as well. I've never had a problem with this, but I imagine getting filthy hot gas in your eye would not be pleasant, so I'm glad it's a feature of this unit. I should be able to test it out this weekend and run some drills.
