Or should I go straight to the Armalite or Bushmaster? I have seen some used ones floating around from time to time, and more often I see people picking up Dlask lowers and tricking them out.

Where do they fit in the scale of quality, accuracy and reliability?

I would appreciate some owners sounding off, Why did you choose it and are you happy with the choice?

Before you slam me for not using the search button, I did and only three threads came up, all not helpful to the question above.
Thanks.

The newer ones are Better.I think the demand in the USA will have them exporting product to the States faster than they can make them.

You are kidding right ,Dlask machines out Raw forging he buys froms the US to build his lowers the Vast majoity of his part come from the US with the exception of the Muzzle break and collapsable stocks .The American Manufactures have no problem keeping up with the demand there is no shortage .

If you are looking for an AR check out the sponsers on this board and get quotes you will find that DLask is not the cheapest but on the other hand DLasks customer service is the worst I have seen.

Buy Dlask they are very well made. Mine's a tack driver.

Been shooting a CGN version DLASK for a couple of years now, no complaints other than it wont handle thermold mags but......actually, it wont cook dinner either.

I've been shooting one of Joe's DAR701-1 AR's for 2 years with absolutly no compliantes. I bought two uppers with, one with a 14.5" and the other with a 20" HB. I shoot the 14.5" the most in 3 gun with no regrets about the money spent.

Plus it's CDN made!!!!

Well I advised my bud to not get a Dlask because his AR's are very small volume and their history has been hit and miss. Dlask is a cool guy making cool s**t but when it comes to AR's their are so many other manufactures that have been doing it a lot longer and higher volume. Really when you can get Stags/LMT's/Colts here that are pretty much at USGI standards why take chance?

Anyway he bought one anyway and its a tack driver, I'm happy for him and Dlask but I would still recommend swinging to one the ones above before Dlask.

Now when it comes to custom 1911's that's a different story, you can't go wrong with Dlask.

I have a lower from them that I like. I think the finish of the anodizing was nicer on my DPMS, but I like the fact it say made in Canada and has the Maple Leaf, like in my Avatar.

Two things I wasn't impressed with though:

1) The lower had this crud all over it from the anodizing. I initially thought it was finished like that and was disgusted, but found nitro solvet cleaned it off.
2) I ordered a complete lower, but only received a stripped lower. It took two phone call to sort it out, apparently all parts kits were stuck in customs and I wasn't supposed to be shipped my order yet, but I did eventually receive a refund check for the difference of a stripped lower and complete lower plus taxes.

That said, I would buy from them again, I would like to get a 10.5" upper at some point and would prefer Canadian made.

THey kinda get pissed off at CGN because too many negative comments were flying here. As a result they did not renew their dealer membership.
