Dlask Arms Corp. Shotgun Barrels...

billardd81 is correcto-mundo, 'Bluing' as it is called in the gun world is what the rest of industry refers to as hot black oxide. It essentially oxidizes the top layer of carbon steel to for a protective 'crust' over the metal that helps prevent further oxidation. Parkerizing is a totally different process.

Got it! Thank you for the informative reply, much appreciated!

10" should be interchangeable with MCS, and I imagine that these guns are now being produced with no front sight as a cost saving measure.

The 10" is indeed compatible with the MCS. You are half right on the cost savings. As I mentioned in the first post the reason is two-fold. First is the constant stream of emails asking for barrels with no front sight. I mean, honestly, what's the point of putting a front sight on any barrel below 18" anyways ? You are not shooting skeet or ducks or anything other than beer cans on a log or a bear. If you need this in self defense it is far better to be able to produce the gun and fire by instinctively aiming vs. the gun not coming out of the scabbard because it snags on the front sight. I have shot these in all configurations literally hundreds of times and almost every time I just look down the receiver to aim, not at the front sight.

Oh, and a heads up, there will be some 6.5" Serbu clones, 8.5" Original Shorty shotguns and some 10" Tacticals all coming by next week.

How are we making out on these? I don't want to call the shop and bother you guys if it means slowing down production of things we want, but I'm getting antsy in my pantsy for three 10" complete guns.

Thanks,

Bradley

Your post from Feb 1 suggests some serbu clones and some 8.5 and 10 inch shotguns would be up for sale sometime in February. Did I miss them😬, or is a little more patience in order?

You haven't missed them - I've been violently refreshing the page every day since then, and haven't seen them, but the silence on these is deafening.
