I bought a Dlask Arms DAR-701 stripped lower back when C-71 was first announced and now I'm looking to actually build it.

I was looking on True North Arms and see that they have a buttstock kit in both commercial spec and milspec - anyone know which the DAR-701 receiver is?

Thanks!

Your lower does not dictate your extension type.

Pick which ever you want (Milspec being the most common one).

Now after you buy a certain type of extension, you must buy a stock thats gonna fit it. (IE: If you buy a milspec receiver extension, make sure you buy a milspec size stock).

Ah ok, thanks for the info guys, I understand now.

Secondary question: are the TNA buttstock kits that I posted at the beginning of the thread any good?

I think they are a good bang for the buck. You might want to change your butt stock later as this one is very flimsy, but it'll do the job.

Also, if you do install it yourself, torque spec for the castle nut is 50NM(ish).

PM me if needed !

One thing I noticed with a reciever extension tube I got from TNA was that the stock position holes were spaced different from other tubes. The stock I threw on didn't collapse fully. It works, there's just a 1" gap from being fully collapsed. Must have been meant for a particular stock.
