What kind of Performance could one expect from a 10/22 Dlask Barrel @100 yards? My stock Hammer Forged Barrel is all over the place at this range...am I asking too much of a 10/22...100 yards? I've tried CCI Mini Mags, CCI Standard Velocity, and some Win Bulk Ammo. Anyone have any suggestions how to get better performance out of my stock barrel? Sadly I'd say I'm probably getting 4" groups.

The Dlask barrel will not get better accuracy than that @ 100.

Try subsonic. If you have 1" groups at 50 yds, subsonic should be around 2" at 100, since there is no supersonic to sonic transition.

I beg to differ... our barrels are ALL grouping (all 5 shot groups) around 2 MOA at 100 yards with CCI SV... those are the realistic standard groups... we have shot many groups well under 2 MOA... even a couple at 1/2 MOA, but those are far from consistent... and a couple 1/2 MOA groups does NOT a "1/2 MOA GUN" make. But these barrels are definitely better than 4 MOA in our experience... these groups were shot with 4-16X and 6-24X scopes... off bipods and bags or front and rear bags... with pretty decent technique.

I'd still like to give the Green Tags a whirl...and what ever else I can find...
What type of performance could be expected from a Savage Mark II @ 100 yards?

None of our rimfires shot the Green Tags very well... we got better groups from CCI SV, for less money... in my FV-SR I got better groups from Blazers than the GT's.

This would be true if your shooting indoors or in a tunnel. Outside in even the slightest element of wind, MOA grows with added distance on a rimfire quite a bit. My 455 will do 3/8-7/16" groups at 50 and generally 1 1/4-1 1/2" at 100 in very light wind days.

Agreed... MOA at 25 is not MOA at 50 is not MOA at 100... conditions are never static and groups will begin to open up as distance increases... including the results of shooter error...

100yds

22lr performance at 100 yds is never apples to apples for one thing.

Even IF you are a skilled shooter, AND have decent optics AND are shooting the guns preferred ammo......the 22lr will get pushed around at that range by the wind.....any wind. Unless yer shooting indoors or she's a candle flame stable day the groups are going to be inconsistent and open up......and not from the guns mechanical accuracy

I wouldn't be too quick to bash any barrel manufactuer based on isolated 100yd 22lr groups.

If I'm not mistaken Dlask makes the barrels with both a bentz and tight sporting chamber option??
Which version are you using?
