Yes just because the fact of now I have a free floated barrel.
There are small but minor improvements also. I prefer this grip and angle. It is much thicker for us big guys. Also there is a nice metal triangle of dots to use as a placement marker for thumb so your hand is the same every time.
This stock lines my hand up better along the trigger then the magpul did. Also it comes with MANY options for slings and bipods as the magpul does not.
A nice hook in the rear of the stock also. Im sure I will appreciate when im out shooting.
Amazing and congrats on completing the challenge!
I think you have inspired me to try this challenge out, I think my dar22 is up for it!
I think most are.
I have never used one of their barrels but the rest of the parts are top notch.
Most of the guys at the range are surprised it runs match and standard velocity ammo. Claiming their 10/22's all need High velocity ammo to run smooth.
Quality parts run smooth! Match ammo all day!
Next on the docket is a fun shoot on the 22nd and then tree rats open on the 25th !
Also of course trying other ammo's to see if they shoot better or not then the SK MATCH lol
I usually just plink and do some gopher shooting. My setup is pretty similar to yours, I’ve got kidd Ultra light barrel and two stage trigger group ( which I really like! ). I’ll punch some paper next time I’m out!
So what’s next? I saw you were looking at those Tikka rimfire rifles, as am I! Lol
CK,
Have you tried much off hand shooting with it? I’m curious if the Kidd barrel is too heavy, if you were intending to shoot off hand 50% of the time?
That is a beautiful rig.
There are squirrel hunters who don't touch there guns from one year to the next...then there are guys like Canadiankeeper. lol Those things won't know what hit them! (though it sounds like match grade ammo) CK~might be time to grab a Waltz kit, and turn your favorite match ammo into big, nasty hollow points! If you were closer to me (40 minutes north of Toronto) I'd run some through for you to test.
Hahaha damn! Ill will have to google the kit right now.
I have been eyeing up the tikka t1x really hard...
I am super fancy about the idea of a matching t1x and a t3x with 4-12 Leupolds ontop of them. 22lr and a 22-250. Just because. Lol
^sounds more OCD-ish than me CK...better be careful. lol
The Neal Waltz kit is worth having for sure, has to be the coolest 22LR gadget/accessory out there. Offer is open if you want to send me some ammo to run through it.
I bought the same stock and just got it today, haven't test it at the range yet but it's clearly a better upgrade from Boyds stock, a bit more lighter as well.
The angel of the grip is Ok, I'm quite use to A5 stock (I have like 5 of them) but take a bit practice, it should be fine.
All the features are really a bit plus, an option with picatiny rail for Atlas bipod is really awesome.
The bad part is there is a bit of flex at the front of the stock, you can basically push it from left to right like 2 to 3mm but tighten up the action screw is start to help a bit.
We will see once I hit the range this Wednesday. Hopefully mine is shooting great like CanadianKeeper.
