DLASK DAR 701 - First Impressions - Wow! PICTURE INTENSIVE

Looks like they copied Noveske Pig.

Actually .. Noveske copied the Krinkov design (no patent):

I have a DLASK version as well and they are well suited for the shorter barrells.

As far as roll pins ($2 fix) .. factory should have known better. Heaven forbid.

It is basically a short expansion chamber at the end of the barrel to maximize dispersion of exit gases.

I've often thought about buying a Dlask upper instead of dealing with the stupid US State Dept approved rifles chambered in .223 only and lacking a collapsing stock and flash hider. Hearing that you're happy with your purchase might sway me over to the side of Dlask....

how come you went with a 16" barrel ?

Its an optical illusion - barrel is 14.5".

Cost of the gun was about$1700.00 this time around. Difficulty in sourcing AR internals has resulted in the need for non US suppliers.
Price may go up depending on prices of new vendors and availability. Delay in delivery was due to lack of bolt carrier assemblies. Stateside companies are making them as fast as they can internal consumption is leaving little left over to export. Paperwork is apparently a PITA out of the States as well.

I just ordered any target that was available. Then I found out they were waiting for the barrels to come from Germany. I told Ron, I was over 75yrs an couldn't wait too long.
I then ordered a 20''. It will be 4-5 weeks.

Here is some before and after pictures of my Dlask.

Went the Magpul route and added panels to my front floating handguard, MIAD grip and CTR stock. Added the stubby CAA vertical forgrip.

Ended up getting a Dlask muzzle brake and Tactial rail/sight.

Thinking of a Magpul ASP sling plate but I haven't decided one way or another yet.

Too bad you couldn't buy them blank without any logos/lettering on them, that dlask one is the worst i've seen yet.

Canadian manufacturers need to hire graphic artists and not try to wing it in MS paint

I suppose it is all in the eye of the beholder.

Personally, I prefere to be looking through the sights of my firearms instead of looking at them. Which is why its not a problem for me.

Guess your mileage varies.

So far all the Dlask lowers I've seen have some pretty impressive finishing work on them. I just might go with their lower for my first build. Looking for a gas piston upper, tho. LMT, or CMMG, not sure yet tho. Wanna buy Canadian, but quality is important. $1700 is a great price for that weapon!

Go Canada!!!
