Hi guys, I just became a member at Silverdale and i'm looking to pick up a .22

Does anyone have experience with the DAR-22?

Also can you shed some light on how they have barrels shorter than 18" and still remain non-restricted?

Need to be 26" or longer for NR. We cant cut barrels down past 18.5" However if its a manufactured barrel, it only has to be 4.5" or longer. Silly Canadian laws!!!!!
Wish someone would fix these laws!!!!!!
Imo Wanstalls has a Magnum research which is better.
If you want top of the line, looks for a Kidd or Volquartsen 10/22.

I have that exact gun except I installed a Kidd 2-stage trigger assembly. Extremely accurate and as close to 100% reliable as I've ever seen in a .22 semi-auto. It's slightly muzzle heavy but I find this makes it easier to hold steady.

I have built guns with parts from every company... so were complete builds from Kidd, VQ, RT Dlask etc... others were Frankenstein builds... I am speaking from experience... Dlask builds are as good as any... Kidd is a little more polished but does not function better... my Dlask builds have always had Kidd, VQ TG-2000 or RT trigger groups... here are a few;

Awesome! I really like the look of the Magnum Research rifles on Wanstalls. What do you think of .22 LR vs. .22 WMR? I'm assuming the magazine capacity rules are the same.

Ammo for the .22 WMR is way more expensive than .22LR so unless you are going to hunt with it .22LR is the way to go.
