HI - just thought I'd post a pic of the G19 I got from DLASK for those thinking of getting one. It's in good shape! Slight holster wear but doesn't appear to be shot very much. Had quite a bit of crap in the grip frame hole and around the base of the mag. Cleaned up good though. Wolf barrel and a NY trigger:mad:, although it doesn't feel that heavy to me.

Nice G19! I have a G26 that's smaller but I find it almost too small. I think the G19 is the perfect size for a compact 9mm. Not to mention that Glocks are, in my opinion, the pistol that I would choose over any other if the zombies are to invade my house!

Yours is cleaner than mine ...
did you get the night sights??
What brand?
How bright?

Hi LAZ - yeah I got the night sights. It says Tru Dot on the rear and MH3 on the front. They seem pretty bright but never having used night sights before have nothing to compare them to, very easy to pick up though.

I find the sights come up more naturally than my old BHP or the G17's I have shot. The grip is the perfect size..now to test it out!

Al Bundy, why is the barrel so long? It doesn't look like that in the States:) In regard to the trigger, learn to only let it reset to where you feel/hear a click and then pull the trigger again. Try it, you will like this method. Regards from your American cousin, Richard:D

PS Yes, I will be home for Thanksgiving.

Update

Well Boys - took her to the range tody. It was pissing rain:mad:. First shot went bang then nothing  and slide locked up tighter than a bankers wallet...not sure quite what happened cause I couldn't rack it....I think I may have not allowed the trigger to reset. I slapped the back of the slide hard and then racked it and that seemed to work....is this common?

Anyway, after that the gun worked 100% through 100 rounds. Quite a bit more muzzle flip than I am used to but after the first mag I found it to be a non-issue. POA was a little bit high and to the right, will have to play with the sights a little on the next session. Even though it has an NY trigger I didn't find it to be excessively heavy, I think I'll keep it as it is.

Overall impression - I like the G19 a lot, points naturally and fits my hand, can't wait to get some more trigger time in.

how small is the grip on the glock 19 i tryed the 23 find it to be very small they almost the same size as the 17

Did a dog chew the end of your barrel or something?? It might just be the picture, but that's what it looks like...

I've had a Glock 26, with a ported barrel, and several 17s, including a couple of 17 C's.

After shooting through case of IVI 9 MM BALL [ HOT!] through my 26, I came to the conclusion that the 26, even with the ports, grip extenders, and a mercury filled guide rod, was just too small for lots of shooting ...
in my hands. My practice scores with the 26 were down about 20 % over the same stage with a 17. I'm sure others can do better, but this was what I found. So I sold the 26.

So far the 19 fits best in my hand, balances best, and theoretically, will be the perfect size. It should provide very little loss in practical utility over the 17. If this turns out not to be true, I also have another 5" SS barrel I can port and drop into the 19, and this may be what I end up with as my final answer.

Although I would also but another mercury filled guide rod ...
they DO make a difference in fast double taps.
