Don't expect anything special by the short barrel other than the "cool" factor. The 16in barrel will outshoot it all-day long

Mine is very reliable, I’m sure not shooting for groups even with a mp5 sight on the rear tho.

The short barrel is less forgiving to lighter weight, lower velocity, or cheaper ammo. With the original barrel it ran anything. Now it's only really reliable with CCI 40gr Minimag and 40gr Browning. I'm fine with that though for the enjoyment of the shorter barrel outweighs the negatives.

I realised pretty quick that one of the two return springs would occasionally bind up. I used a dremel tool to open up side wall against the bolt carrier and have not had any problems with picky ammo anymore. I typically use the golden bullets or the federal blue box.
