Dlask - how do they rate?

IBS!

Prior to NEA coming into existence they were the board favourite to rant against. See, NEAs good for something.:d

My first AR lower was from DLASK.

Buffer retaining pin hole is out of spec and beats up the buffer.

One of the upper retaining pins is also out of spec and it's nearly impossible to get an upper on/off.

I have seen some of their more recent work up close ( yesterday actually) and they have not seemed to have gotten any better. Based on what I saw yesterday (out of spec machining & rough finish) I would advise you to save a few more bucks and opt for something better.

I don't know about their ar15 stuff but their 10/22 stuff is awesome but a friend had one of their "custom" 1911's and for what he paid I thought it was a rip off.

I'm sorry, what?

I doubt that very much. Do you have any pics to share?

Check out the threads relating to the RCMP releasing their criteria on what they consider an ar15 lower vs an m16/m4 lower.

There were several examples of Dlask lowers that were milled internally so as to accept an auto-sear (minus the pin hole).

edited - since photobucket stopped 3rd party hosting, most of the pics have disappeared.......

I found Dlask's service to be excellent, as recent as last week. I get constant emails updating me on my shipment, prompt service and excellent packaging. +1, here.

Hmm... Strange, I missed that somehow. Not sure the reasoning, not even US manufacturers would dare.

Sadly photobucket has ruined access to a lot of good info with their new policy.

They played stupid with my cc upper doing a brake install. Ended up putting gouges into my barrel (from vice teeth) and it's not straight. Could clearly see the gases exhausting crooked on GoPro video. I'd pass on anything they got.

Here you go...

Dlask left. NEA right.

look at that big cavernous hole

...but it won't take a sear, without a milling machine, and trade skills that make it a moot point ayway. Also, this sh...er....stuff has only become an issue lately, there are hundreds of true sear compatible lowers out there, simply because the RCMP hadn't made up the FA boogeyman as a BS way of trying to take guns "off the streets" when they were imported. I can think of 3 brands off the top of my head that have sear compatible lowers mingled in with other production. All of which would be much easier to make into prohibited firearms. Which would, of course, result in jail for the person caught with them, because it's already illegal to make/modify/possess a select fire weapon.

My experience has been terrible as well , have a thread on it from a while back in 2015 called " Satisfaction NOT guarenteed -- my new Derya shotgun "
It's a read but shows some insight
If people ask me I tell them don't walk - RUN

What I did for my first ar (for what it worth) is bought a complete colt ar. I sold the parts I wanted to upgrade and bought new "very good" parts. It kind of fits the bill to what you are talking about.
I've spent a few bucks at dlask and was happy. But none of it was on ar parts...
