I noticed Dlask has a DAC 394/SIG P228 9mm slide (no barrel) on their site for $55.

Having an inbound Nork NP34 I was wondering if anyone has tried this.

They also have the full DAC 394 parts kits for $199. Anyone played with these and their compatability with the new Norcs?

Wow, I thought Dlask was out of parts kits. They're good parts.

The DAC394 is P228 compatible NOT NP34 (at least not the NP34 I had). SIG P228/P229, you can exchange the slide. The barrel seemed to need some fitting if I recall, and the slide rattles a little, but they make nice caliber xchange kits for .22 P229!

The NP34 has different dimensions for everything except mags and grips. The slide will not fit, the barrel will not fit, etc. etc. The grips MAY fit. I had mixed success, the alloy Hogues didn't fit my NP34 but did fit the SIG pistols perfectly. The plastic SIG grips worked, probably because they flex a little.

No paint on the sights, etc. I'm a fan. If it's a complete slide for $55, I'll be there in a few minutes!

I guess you buy and try. My NP34 didn't fit, and the locking block / barrel differences explained part of that. The slide would bind up because it was in the wrong position relative to the barrel / locking block and the rails were slightly different. I didn't succeed. Clearly others have. The Dlask slides, barrels and locking blocks, on the other hand, are closer copies. No problem putting them on a P228 or P229.

My NP34 was an excellent shooter. As are the Dlask experiments so far.

The old NP-22/34 did not have the "winged" locking block that the new ones do. This is a major departure from the Sig design.
