Hey Guys
I'm going to get the Dlask 12 in barrel for my SR22.
My question is which one is better? the 7.50 contour or the 9.20 bull.
What one would have better accuracy?
Does anybody know or had experience yet, Any info would be great.
Thanks
Caygeon

I like the look of the 12" builds I"ve seen here on the forum, and it might just piss off some Libs because it's still non-res. And because it's 12" it might be a stiffer barrel which might mean better accuracy (But thats just a guess)
First hand experience info would be great.
Thanks guys

Why do you want a 12' barrel? just curious, i also have an SR, and can't really imagine wanting it any shorter

For the same reason why anyone shooting an AR would want a 11.5" barrelled upper. Accuracy has nothing to do with it but it would be a bonus if it was better.

what is the reason someone shooting as AR would want an 11.5" barreled upper?

Better balance, lighter weight, quickness and ease of handling. You could apply the same rationale to any firearm that will see short range use. There's simply no need to handicap yourself unless absolutely necessary.

FYI, most .22RF cartridges reach maximum velocity at a barrel length of approximately 16" so to go beyond that is pointless.

If it were my rifle, I'd go 12" in length with a .750 diameter.

C'mon, your not out of questions yet are you? :D My archangel kit with the .920, 12.5" barrel, points and balances soooooo much better than it did with a factory sr22 barrel.
Your archangel kit, did you buy that in Canada? a guy I know at the range bought a 10/22 recently and says all he can find is tapco.. really wants an archangel though

Yeah, keeping it not restricted it always better for me, as I want to keep it as a plinking gun too.

Anyone ever weigh the factory SR22 barrel and a Dlask 12.5" 0.92" contour barrel?

I have been thinking about getting one for my sr22 and would like it to be as light as possible so I have been debating between the 0.75" and 0.92" 12.5" barrels, it would be nice to know the wieght of all three barrels(both dlask barrels and the factory 16" 0.75" barrel.

I would like to swap or have my SR barrel shortened as well. Better loks and balance. Also the other post shows that in the 12 inch barrel teh .22 is actually higher velocity and more than likely more acurrate.
