Dlask vs Troy T22

Hey all ..

Well I couldn't wait for Dlask to get around to getting some of the troy t22's so I had irunguns get me one instead. My internals of my 10/22 have gone through many changes, last one being a SR22 ... but couldn't pass up the troy. I had Dlask everything with the exception of the receiver body and trigger set up. All the pins, screws and v block came from DAC, as well as barrel and muzzle brake. This is where it all started to fall apart

The adjustable vblock and screws I got from DAC must be bigger than the OEM ones that Ruger provides.

The receiver & barrel combo would not seat into the lower chassis of the Troy t22 set up. The two vblock screws make contact with the chassis and prevent it from mating and locking up properly. Both screws are 2-3mm to tall and don't sit flush into the vblock. It's a good thing I didn't get my magpul order at the same time or I'd be surely ticked off

I was thinking of putting the lower chassis into the press and cutting a couple grooves into the aluminum ... maybe

Off to the EE for some screws ... so if you have a aftermarket setups, and want a troy chassis, get a oem vblock as well just in case

I had this same problem. I took the material off the screw heads with a dremel and it still left plenty of room for the allen key to engage and tighten down. I would not recommend taking the material off the T-22, but it is your toy. The V block may also be bigger than the standard adding to the problem. I took a little off the screws at a time until it fit.

Always modify the cheapest part; I wouldn't even consider modifying the Troy Chassis unless I had a milling machine and knew how to use it.

+1 for modding the screws or the vblock, or buy a new vblock. Thank me later

my friend down the street had a stock 10/22 and I convinced him to let me have his vblock, he walked away with a Dlask adjustable vblock and hex head take down screw

the dlask vblock is slightly larger and screw holes are not countersunk as deep as the OEM vblock ... the screws were identical. Put the ruger v block in and everything was great, I miss the adjustable part because my barrel tenon is not tight to the bore and has a slight cant to it when the vblock is tight. But is was nothing a brass shim didn't take care of.
