Whos uppers and parts do they use? HOws the quality? Better of worse then Bushmaster? Better or worse then Colt? I hope its better than DPMS stuff right? Any idea on what the pricing is for a CQB? I put it on the possible short list with 2 others. Also if I went with Dlask CQB with A2 top, will I be serioulsy limited in red dot optics? with out the top rail system? ACOG...is alittle to much money for a range toy..thanks for any help.:D

I bought a DAR-701 and have had no problems with it whatsoever. I've been very impressed with Dlask Arms.
Thanks Joe!!!

Have you even seen a DPMS rifle?
Dlask's AR's are as well finished as any other AR15, but the magwells can be a bit tight.

I thought that DPMS was basically ####? WIth it being perhaps one step up the ladder from maybe Olympic? Never seen DLASK stuff....have shot lots of Bushmaster, Colt..etc..

I've owned Bushmaster, Colt and DPMS as well as trigger time behind an Armalite. There's just 'something' about a Colt but I found all four to be extremely similar in quality.

Im very happy with my DAR rifles, parts are often Armalite lower parts kits, as far as the uppers I know that they have had special runs of parts for their rifle (ie: 14.5 M4 barrells).

IMHO you can trust that the product is quality. Just that the lady at the front end is a bookkeeper, not a saleperson and is useless as tits on a bull.

My 701's magwell is just fine, the magwell issue is history AFAIK... from days of old. They are Canadian made lowers and now uppers. I will continue to support Canadian arms manufactures if the quality is good, Dlask meets or exceeds my expectations for quality. Dlask makes mistakes like every other firearms manufacturer but the nice thing is they guarantee their work too. Also if the US border ever gets shut down or whatever for arms shipments then its good to know we can always rely on Dlask.

Not trying to "rock the boat" but the worst finished and machined AR's I've seen are the Colt "sporters" and "post-ban" models. Barrels turned too slow leaving machine marks, carry handles machined off-center and uneven, mismatched color on upper/lower. They function fine, just ugly.:)

yeah was only asking as ive never seen a DLask up close...just the usual stuff..

On the Colts, from what ive read on AR15.com there seems to be abit of quality discrepency between military/LE and civilian stuff...then again will Colt even resume selling to non military or LE in Canada? Probably not..

Hitzy,

Glad to hear that...I was just considering buying a "post ban" Colt Sporter I saw on sale locally. Perhaps I'll think twice about this.
