Do any of you Fudds still use Nosler Partitions?

I used to use them all the time. Now I see them collecting dust on store shelves. I can't recall the last animal I shot with a NP, but I think it was circa 1999

You bet they are old news. I use Hornady SST and never look back. I will use Partitions on the next 2000.00 sheep hunt in the Prophet River country with my custom Griffen and Howe sporter in .30-06......Oh ya almost forgot my Lyman Alaskan 2 power scope.

Still have some .270W 160gr partitions I like. Not because they are "partitions" but because they are 160 grain and shoot ok in a Sako and ZKK

I'm not a Fudd either but I use Nosler Partitions in my 256 Newton and 30-06 and 270 and 300 Savage - my son has tried other makes and is now in the Partion camp also.

Well... I have some guns that would convince you that I am as "Fudd" as they come... I have others that look like they came straight from the Star Wars prop room...

I use Partitions because I don't buy into the hype that "newer is necessarily better." I use them because I have some exceptionally accurate loads that I have been unable to improve upon... and I have yet to find a bullet with the terminal performance to match them on medium to large game.

Having said that, I tend to shoot the most accurate load that I can develope with satisfactory construction... which may include AB's, IB's, TTSX, GMX, or plain old SP's... and a good amount of hard cast... particularly in straight walled cartridges.

I'm practical that way...

The best moose kill that I've ever seen was with a 338 Win Mag 250gr Partition so it's still the "Gold Standard" for some cartridges.
Personnaly, I'm in the "high velocity flat-shooting" so prefer Nosler Accubond and Barnes TSX depending on which is more accurate in a given rifle.

I still have a fair bit of loaded ammo with Partitions. 9.3x62, .308, .30-06, and something else I can't think of right now. I haven't bought any for several years now though and once the ammo is shot, I'll probably load with TSX or something along those lines.

Partitions have always worked well for me but I just prefer the TSX to anything else at this time.

I tried SST's in my 308 and 300 Win mag and couldn't get the same level of accuracy out of them. Can't go wrong with a classic, though I have many other bullet styles in the arsenal.

Yes, the antelope in my avatar was killed with a 85 grain Nosler partition out of my 240 Weatherby..........kills deer as well.
