Yes, I use partitions in the .243 (100 gr.), and in the 7-08 (140 gr). You can keep your all coppers, vld's sst's and blah blah blah and I'll continue to kill game in the good old fashioned way - with wood stocked rifles shooting partitions!

Full grain leather boots and wool hat too!

Not my " GO TOO " anymore but ... definitely a GO !

I still run them , still in my top 5 favorite hunting bullet ... still have %100 confidence

I use Partitions in my 7mm Rem Mag but I am considering switching as they are so boring........give me 1/2" groups and drop deer and moose dead!!

I can beat that... I get .308" groups at the muzzle with my old .30/30 group after group...

They're my usual bullets for my .308 Win (150 gr Partition Gold) and my .243 (95 gr) when I'm hunting with those particular rifles. I have boxes of them on the shelf that I have never bothered to develop loads for yet. I have 130 and 150 gr .277's, 200 gr .308's, 140 gr 7mm's just waiting for me to get around to developing loads.

I also have 140 gr Swift A-Frames (.277 dia) waiting to be used as well.

Are you trying to get phil shoemaker out of his den,he will probably tell you to go fudd yourself.I think the ttsx will penetrate as well.

Phil is also a big fan of the TSX. He has said that his favorite bullet in is .375 Ruger to go after clients' Grizzly is the 270gr TSX.

Last critter I shot with a NP was a coyote with a 125gr 6.5mm in 2008. Last year I hunted with NP was 2010. Last box I have bought was about 2003...none currently on the shelf. Don't really plan on buying any more, mainly because I think the Accubond and TTSX are a bit better overall

I started using Partition bullets shortly after I began reloading. We're talking 4½+ decades here!

At that time, they were made out of a "bronzy" material, and had a relief groove cut in them, just over the Partition.

I have shot over 100 head of game with the Partition. of that number, I have recovered about 20%, the rest making exit.

Now, I will make it clear that I have shot a lot of animals with other bullets as well. Some C&C, some bonded and now, the monometal designs.

But I still use the venerable Partition, simply because it works, period!!

If you were to look at my loaded "hunting" ammo stash right now, this is what you would see: [In part]

338 Win Mag 210 Partition, 225NAB, 210TTSX, 210 Scirocco II
35 Whelen, 225 Partition.

You can get the picture, I'm sure. Call me a Fudd, if you want, but I have the utmost confidence in the Partition.
When I went on a late Elk hunt last month, I was packing one of my 308NM rifles with the 180 Partition loaded.
Again, the proven bullet did it's job...one shot at 276 yards, DRT. :) What is not to like?

As you can see, though, I am not Exclusively a Partition user, and freely acknowledge that there are many very
good bullets available to use today.

One of the very good things about our time right now, is if your rifle does not like a particular premium bullet, we
have plenty of options to go for. When the Partition was basically the only choice, if your rifle didn't shoot them, you
were hooped, and had to rely on a C&C bullet to get the job done. [in most cases, they did OK as well, just reduced your versatility]

Sorry for the long post, but the Fudd in me just had to speak out.
Regards, Dave.
