Do different company use slightly different sized cases??

Is it possible for different ammo manufactuers to have slightly different sized cases? The reason i ask is because i have a brand new beretta 92fs and im have alot of failures to extract. out of 700 rounds fired ive had over 30 failures to extract but the ONLY ammunition ive fired out of the gun is Sellier & Bellot 124gr 9mm. A couple of guys at my range suggested its more then likely the ammo because its slightly to long. They took my gun a part i looked at how the cartidge sat in my chamber and said it looked like there was alittle bit to much brass exposed. I have no idea what to think :confused:
 
It would be easy to collect a number of different empties and measure the case lengths. Tell us the length of a virgin and a fired case from your lot. We can compare to what we have.

But yes, ammo has a plus/minus tolerance on dimensions and one can make ammo towards the minimum and another might make it towards the max size.

lapua v Winchester 6.5x284 is quite different in case head diameter, for example.
