Do I have enough scope clearance

I’ve got a weatherby mark v hunter and put a 50mm bell scope on. I’m worried I don’t have enough clearance between the bell and the barrel. I can’t quite get a credit card through the gap. Pic for reference.

I prefer as close to bore as possible. It looks like youve done that. If your eye lines up, it looks great.
Only problem may be with a cover fitting.

It might get a knock under recoil, I would prefer at least 1mm gap. For recoil management and accuracy it is often better to have the scope a bit higher. It brings the COG further up.

The cover clearance for the obj. lens would be the second concern as I always like Butler Creek flip up covers.

Its easy to cut a channel in scope covers so they can still be used.

Had to do that with the Buttler Creek flip caps on my Parker Hale 1200c when I had a 50mm bell on the scope of choice back in the day.
