do i need a cz 858

hi im sure this has been asked alot but if a guy already has the sks and a ruger 10/22 for plinking and a 300 wsm for hunting does he really need the cz 858 they look so cool and i want it but cant seem to justify spending that much to my wife any tips on making her think i need it lol
 
No you don't need one..... YOU NEED TWO!! :D

Seriously it is one of the, if not THE coolest non restricted rifles you can legally own in Canada. Everyone should own one. All your friends will think you have an 'AK'
 
You sure do!, you can also tell her for less that $0.20 a round it's cheap to feed. Also $695 is not a lot of money for a rifle like that. plus you get 4 mags and a leather pouch that is worth over $100 if you price it out. If your on the west coast I'll let you toss a few down range if you want.
 
I plan to buy one at some point i have enough SKS's and I would love to have a CZ-858 to add to the collection hopefully them won't make them prohibited .
 
ya been hinting to her i want 1 wish they where cheaper like my sks. I keep saying this is my last gun and then its well i just need 1 more lol hope they go on sale every once and a while

I say the same thing....:D and then about a Month after I buy a Rifle i find myself looking for another.

:eek: A whole month? I just got a 858 2 weeks ago and i was looking for another rifle the next day. :D Seriously though, get an 858 OP. They're badass. If you have an extra couple hundred bucks at the time you purchase one, consider getting it arma-coated. Worth every penny IMHO. Cheers. :rockOn:
 
Buying guns is like working on a car. You put a new set of headers on and you think that will be good enough but no, you have to go get the cam & lifter kit. Next week you say "dam my engine would look good with a new Air-Gap polished aluminum intake" so you go get one. Next week you say "dam that old Quadra Jet looks like ####" so you go and get a new Edlebrock 1407 750cfm carb with endurashine finish and a new air filter cover. The next week you go "Manmy engine would make so much more power if I put a new set of RHS 2.02 racing heads on there but $hit that’s like $1000 unassembled and another $500 just to get the parts to assemble it" But you go get a set anyways. By the end of the month you realize "HOLY $HIT! I spent $5000 this month on parts!" True story by the way. This is why I don’t own my car anymore or otherwise I wouldn’t be able to afford firearms and dirt bikes.

I had the sks and wanted the cz858 but just didnt want to spend the money, finally I did and I was happy that I got it. A much nicer rifle then the sks that is for sure.
 
Are you really asking us gun nutz if you should buy another gun? The answer is always Yes! (well, almost always). I have contemplated the thought of buying a 858 for a while now, but I want to wait for that registry to die first :p
 
Sell the SKS and put the money towards a CZ858. You can find them on EE here for less than what dealers want. I've seen them for 550 or so.

It does everything the SKS does, but better.
 
I was originally going to get an sks then eventually get a cz858 but after reading how most people stop shooting their sks after they get their cz i just went and got the cz and skipped the sks. Im glad i did. Plus i got a good deal on one off the EE for $500
 
I got two 858's but i still shoot an Sks i put over 20 000 rounds down range of 7.62x39 last year alone. I would rather wear out an sks every year then my 858's.

I had a beautiful yugo 59/66 sks, and a nice russian sks... then I bought the 858 :) after having the 858 I had to sell my sks's, as they became dust collectors.... get the 858... but keep your sks,just in case.;)
