I bought a Russian refurb and I left my bolt in some Simple Green in order to get rid of any grease or oil. After taking it out of the Simple Green and wiping it off, I can see that the firing pin is moving freely. Is it still necessary to disassemble the bolt for further cleaning?

I tried getting my bolt apart using the method described in the FAQ thats sticked last night..... after 45 minutes of attempting to tap the pin retainer out with a punch, I gave up

Immerse it in alcohol (90% isopropyl or two little bottles of car fuel anti-freeze should do). Alcohol will carry water out by mixing with it. After two clean alcohol flushes, dry the bolt with compressed air applied to the firing pin hole.
This will leave the innards totally dry.
PP.
