I have never owned one, but somehow I think I need/want one, and one is available at a fair price..........HHHHMMMMMM.............no it does NOT have a f**king brake on it either which is even more attractive to me.

you want one and need one to show at the range ... then less friends especially without a brake.

last one i ve seen at the range bites two guys ... there is love in that caliber ...

If you want one and there's one at a good price and without a brake then go for it.

I had wanted one for years but the cost of a Mk V and Weatherby ammo completely soured me.

If you have a .303, a 12 ga, and a .22LR, you don't "need" anything. "Need" tends to complicate the decision so IMO it's better to ignore it and jump straight into "want". You're the guy paying the bill so if you "want" something that should be good enough. If you have to borrow the money from your wife then you better go back and come up with a good story why you "need" it.

A 378 gives you somewhere around 40-50 yds extra pbr over a H&H. That's good enough to justify it as far as i'm concerned.

I think you should do it, at least for the entertainment value. When you find something to shoot with it you do.....then you wake up disoriented and try to figure out what your were doing before the pickup hit you.
Sounds fun!

I shared a culling camp with a guy using a 378. Earplugs I his head because of the brake and awning rod on his belt to get the many stuck empties out of his chamber. It's really hard to stay enthusiastic after that.

The stuck empties has more to do with the loads than anything else. Actually it's all to do with the loads that are inappropriate for conditions.
