Do I really need another Glock?

Well, why not open your mind and try something else, 1911, once you've tried, you will fall in love,

Yeah he should smarten up and throw some money in the trash.

He can buy any glock of his choice and sell it for what he paid, or more.
Thanks for the tips though.

I prefer the 19 over the 17, but you can't go wrong with either.

I've been saving up some scratch for a new "toy" and want something in 9mm. Was looking at a Ruger SR9 and along comes a good deal on a Gen 4 G17. I bought a G22 last year but now I'm torn. Is there any such thing as too many Glocks in the safe or should I diversify?

That there should of diversified you................ you can not go wrong with a SR9. Never.

I have a G17. I was asking myself the same question.. I am pretty sure I wanna get a G21. I also want to get a G19 and see if I like it more then the G17.
I shot a 19 Gen4 in the US, then came home and bought a 17 Gen4. I've got big fat mechanics hands and to my surprise the 19 both fit my hand better and shot tighter groups. If I could do it again I would hold out for a 19 w/ Glock threaded bbl.

Glocks are guns

Guns are good

You can never have too many guns

Ergo, you can never have too many Glocks....

This thread can now be closed....

Lots of great guns out there, its all about what works for the shooter.

I bought my glock just because I wanted 1..truthfully at the time I didn't like them and couldn't hit the plates with it.
I loved my sig226.
After shooting the glock for a while and giving it a chance its now the 1st pistol I throw in the bag when heading to the range.

Ide lover to get a glock 19 or 23 but the price just doesn't seem worth it. I asked a few guys on the glock forum if they would pay $1000 for a 19 or 700 for a 17... Answer was neither but the 19 is not worth that much more.
I think in the states its like a $20 diference, but we have to buy a new longer barrel with it which drives the price up.

Most Guys that i know paid 700-750$ for their g17, but now... They are now at 1100-1200$ with trigger job and other upgrades !!
I prefer put this budget on a real 1911

Had a 1911 Para about 10 years ago or so and loved it, wish I never sold it! But like I said want to stick with DAO for now. 10 years of muscle memory with my duty pistol and I don't want to confuse myself by changing up the trigger pull. Probably have one again someday though.

I say just get it. Coming from a big sig fan too. Personally I hate glocks, hate the feel hate the look hate the hype about them.......but I still want me a G23....strang how it works.

I could have wrote this, except it was a G19 and G21.

I really like 1911's but I'm down to one now since I started shooting Glocks (G17 & G21). Glocks seems to suit ME better. Besides, I have a T-series BHP that JB designed as an improvement over his 1911:).
I think I spent $50 for a NY1 Spring and a Glock OEM (-) 3.5 connector on my G17. There was nothing wrong with the stock trigger, I just wanted to try the combo out. My gen4 G21 is completely stock and breaks crisper than the "expensive" trigger job on my G17. I did splurge on Trijicon night sight for the Glocks ($100 each installed).
I would never spend $400-500 on a trigger job for a Glock. IMO they work fine stock for their intended purpose/design...everything else is personal preference and not really needed. YMMV

The gun is perfect out of the box, so no need to waste money on upgrades, other then maybe some steel night sights.

Ya cause polymer rusts like metal. Bury both in the dirt and leave them there for 20 years, see which one fairs better lol.
