You did say laminated stock right? Well these are all refub of some kind. SKS only came with arctic birch, the laminate stock was added later. Still may have all numbers match and stock will be stamped to match but not born this way. Do as u wish with them.

Realize that not everybody shares your sentiment.. people do collect SKS rifles, and that is fact that even you can't deny.

I guarantee an unissed SKS is worth more then a refurb, and could even become someones safe queen.

Collecting isn't always about the $$ on your return.. it's about PRESERVATION.

Well said. I don't actually "collect" SKS's, although I have about 6 of them. I think they are a nifty little firearm. I owned an 858 (don't recall if C or V). Had it for about a week, never fired it.

I appreciate the zest with which people present their views on the stuff they collect, whether it be tea pots or railroad locomotives.

I fall under the collector/gatherer/preservationist categories. Some of the gentry on here would snicker at the stuff in my pile, but, guess what?
