Do I want a KRG bravo? Updated-Got one!!

Hands down the Bravo is the best entry level chassis on the market. And if you're worried about choosing between it and the Whiskey 3, you can upgrade to the gen 6 folder and gain some wicked adjustability. You still have the Bravo forend but get 2 sizes of grip panels. I'm especially thrilled with the fore-aft adjustment on the cheek piece that gets it far enough forward to not rub my ear pro but still get a full proper cheek weld. I hate the rubbing.

I love the KRG stuff, obviously. Suits me great. I'm a bit of a high maintenance customer, Tom can attest, but the service I've had from KRG over the years has been stellar.

I like the spigot, in that it puts my bipod out further and I find it more stable. You can virtually mount anything you want on any of their chassis'. Mix and match foreend, nvg mount, enclosed forends. Rear rails, monopods, the list is endless. You could clear corners, slamming your stock in the doorway everytime, with a flashlight and PEQ15 if you felt so inclined.

I have a Bravo on my Cadex in 300 Norma and I wasn't totally sold on it right away, well built, tons of options, reasonable price but once I got behind the rifle its very comfy and I'd get another one and may just do so soon if I decide to not sell my other rig.

I have done up 2 rifles and the KRG Bravo. There is no better chassis for the money. The accessory catalog is extensive enough for any discipline.

Originally I bought one to make a TRG Clone. When all was said and done what impressed me most was the rock solidstability. Improvements in my shooting capability and robust feel.

You simply cannot go wrong with a Bravo.

There are a few minor annoyances, to me, which you should be made aware of. The fit and finish on the cheek riser is poor. I added hockey tape to mine to add some grip and to make the rest more comfortable against my cheek. Also, the butt and forend exterior panels do not line up properly. For the price of the chassis I try to look past that. As mentioned earlier the ergos are good and there are a lot of accessories that you can add. The forend is quite short so I would recommend looking at the spigot mount to extend your bipod out further past the forend. Another worthwhile accessory is the toolless buttpad mechanism. Good luck!

I would agree with this post based on the one I put on my T1x.

I looked at MDT and KRG. The MDT started at $400 then you need the butt stock, buffer tube and hand grip (plus accessories after that), at least the rimfire version I was comparing to the KRG.

For ~ $600 base the KRG is a good value for money. Accessories are not cheap, but definitely look at the spigot as above.
For me (6" tall) I needed the LOP kit and was pleased it was included with the chassis for the T1x version (even though the KRG website and instructions say it is not). The 700 version comes with the kit.

BTW I got great service from Go Big Tactical on the chassis and accessories (Spigot and Harris mount, ARCA rail, Butt stock lower filler and barricade stop and ARCA mounts).

For those pointing out the boney cheek rest issue. These cheek riser pads are a great investment.

Been looking for one in stock in Canada for a while (Wiebad Mini Stock Pad for KRG Bravo)- don't really care what colour.

Tom @ Go Big Tactical is out
Bullseye sells the RPR version

Tom - your website shows an ODG for KRG in stock ON SALE but won't let me put it in my shopping cart.......Guess you don't have one? All other colours show SOLD OUT

We don't have any left for the Bravo. We moved to Warhorse for our bags due to their higher level of customer service, however I can appreciate there is not a comparable product to the cheek pad. It appears Wiebad is more interested in direct sales

Took advantage of the SFRC Boxing Day sale and snagged a Howa Bravo in 6.5CM.

In the process of acquiring the necessities (like the Wiebad stock pad) now... :)
