A little off topic Walter , but how long have you guy's been doing that ?
And how many more junior shooters has it brought out ?
It sounds like a great idea , just wondering if it panned out .
Thanks - Rick

we have been doing it for a few years now. since i have been SC i would say it has brought us in about a dozen new junior shooters plus parents. over half of them are active shooters today.

What is the minum age for ipsc?

Im 16, waiting on my BB course and hopefully want to go into productive.

In BC there is no minimum age for IPSC. You will just need your parents or guardian or a PAL holder to deal with the firearms you will be using and transporting to practice and compete with. They may also be required to sign document for you to become a member of IPSC BC

Do you have access to a gun now that you can use in production?

I have found that most juniors under 12 are physically unable to handle an IPSC hand gun. of course this varies depending on physic and desire. the youngest i have done was JS. he was 11 going on 12 and was small. it was about all he could do to hang onto the down loaded 45 but he did, he hit what he was shooting at and he competed and completed the Canadain nationals the next year in Edmonton.

yes done and passed.. I plan on shooting the level 2 at EOHC on the 7th or October.

Hey Dan,

Come on out to EOHC on October 1st and help us build the match. You'll learn a lot about the sport by helping to build stages and you might even get your match fee waived. mail ipsc@eohc.ca for details.

DrNick is bang on.

I have learned more about the sport by helping build then by shooting. You get to watch everything come together.
