At 3150 it won't be long until your 300 is sitting beside my 300. LOL 3150fps is NPASP (not possible at sane pressures). (Or,,,, you have a ridiculously long barrel on your gun). Please tell me you didn't have Rick threaded some 28"+ pipe on that nice gun?? How could you do such a thing to such a nice piece of hardware?? I need the Partitions for up close impact velocities. Can't ram a 208 AMax or 210 Berger into something when you launch 'em at 3100 FPS.

Yup, was is the operative term. The inside of the barrel looked like fresh asphalt so it needed to be done. But I did save the bottom metal so now it's a Model 70 Super Grade Windero.

I was getting just shy of 2900fps with the 210's and yes, you can ram them through things! Trust me, the cariboo won't mind.
Gonna blast buff this year, so far its me, LRC, Rick and,,,,,,,,,, you gonna jump in on this? Will they let you out of your cage long enough? I managed to pick the lock on mine
The said roated barrel on mine was an RKS, just like yours. All gone bye bye. Its getting a Rock Creek now.

If he can't make the shot.....don't take it.....and take the time to understand what the capabilities and limitations of your ammo are, it realy doesnt take that much time and you have a whole year before hunting season to figure it out.....and if you can't stay the F@ck outa the woods.
It's not the type of ammo, or the types of hunting that make hunting unethical....it's some of the bozoo's that get licences and hit the woods with no concern or care.

The invite is always there Rick and was coming your way anyway's, we are just working out details as it is a major effort to get into the area, some may say a logistical nightmare weather depending, Good news, no badger holes
.I am looking at the south end of Wood Buffalo National Park, outside park boundries, I want to talk with some of the boys from FT Chip and get some good inside tips for location. I am thinking fall of this year or early spring before river breakup of next. Frozen ground and river is a bonus as well as ATV/snowmobile or chopper in and hump it for a few days arrangeing for a later pickup. I have a friend with a cabin but due to distance in and out, may be an overnighter or 2 in the bush. This is not a LR hunt due to terrain but there are places a LR shot can be made with the .50's if you want and the big boys cooperate, but it's alot of weight to pack in and if we make contact a hell of a lotta weight to pack out. This will be up close and personal and these bad boys get angry quick.
I'm packing a .450 Marlin for this one iron sights.......Danger Deb will be using a .22 short Henry Rifle
