Back story: A couple weeks ago I bought a Scorpion scope and had it mounted on a Thompso Centre Encore pro hunter in 7mm magnum. The first one failed to focus so I took it back to the dealer and with the counter waranty they immediately replaced mounted a new one

Today was the first time I had a chance to take it out and zero itwith in 7 shots the reticle had noticably twisted in the scope. One failure could be written off, two failures is a pattern.

Long story short I am off to try and get a refund tomorrow and never buying their products again

It pays to shop locally

Good news I went and seen Travis from Jo Brooks and he took the lemon back and I upgraded to a leupold. No questions asked and he remembered that I had problems with the previous scope. Like I said shopping locally is a good thing

Here's what their warranty says:

If you have ANY issues with a Scorpion product that has our lifetime guarntee[sic], you can simply return it to the store you purchased it at and you will able to exchange it right on the spot for a brand new one.

So, looks like you can exchange POS #2 for POS #3 and so on. Lots of the K-Tel junk they sell on TV has the same warranty. They won't refund your money, but give you a brand new pile of junk.
Good luck anyhow.

Like the King Optics, it's designed in a shack along with kayaks, but manufactured in China....I think we got to the bottom of the newfoundland designed precision optics, not sure about Manitoba. Not sure about the Quigley optics either.

oh no, is this king optics of manitoba ?

anyone know where the shack is that they claim to manufacture scopes in ?

Well, not one mention on their whole site about where any components are made, only that they are designed in Manitoba. If a company doesn't want to tell you where their product is made, its because they are embarrassed to tell you. ;)

I looked at the scorpion scopes, "made in china" is on the box.

Is that what a lot of Canadian seller/manufacture does anyways?...buy made in China items and manufacture their products there and resell it to make a bigger profit here.

They can make stuff wherever they want, just don't pass it off as high end gear.

been hunchedover easy with the NL comments. Remember the fellow that made an impressive shot back in March of 2002, he is from here.

Sure, but he chose to live in Edmonton after getting his training here. Tells you what he thinks of the Rock. ;)

Then again, I would like to spend another night on George Street. Mussels, beer, and pretty NL girls desperate for a Western Ticket.

Vortex is a POS as well.a buddy put one[red dot with magnifier] on a Beretta Storm carbine and after a box of shells concluded the dot adjusted itself upon recoil every shot!
