DO not buy sks from lever arms

Hi guys, a few days ago I went to lever arms with cousin to buy 2 Russian sks's we walked in, 3 staff members stated at us for about 5 secs. I had to say "can someone help us" 1 guy says ok, a second guy says "hey we close in ten mins" I'm like ok, so does that mean I can't buy anything? He blabbers something. In all honesty I know what prejudice and racism feels like, I've lived with it my whole life. Bottom line, NO sks, extremely poor customer service, I felt like they were being racist. Anyone else have this experience with lever arms?

Those guys are super. It's like going to a barber shop on a Saturday to shoot the breeze for me. They can, however, spot a poseur from 200 yards. It took a while to feel the love for me too as I was a pain-in-the-a$$, tire-kicking customer once upon a time.

But, I'm a middle-aged, melanin-deprived male, so your mileage may vary. My daughter isn't though, and she hasn't felt any of what you describe.

I also don't expect to be able to buy a rifle in 10 minutes. Just sayin.

I was down south a few weeks ago (a rare event here) and dropped in cause it seemed like a "normal" thing to do in an unfamiliar zoo of lattes, suits - and people. They were nice to me! I bought a number of items, no troubles. I'd previously bought mail order from them and it was good dealings over the phone.

Not questioning the OPs personal experience, but I'd also put $$ on the end of the day "wanna get home" more than anything.

Just providing my experience to add to the balance so folks can decide appropriately.

i have 1, and its DEFINITELY THE MOST ACCURATE CARBINE out there, i can shoot a quarter inch group, rapid fire @ 25 yards, and yes people do get jealous of the way i shoot, but then again i went to blackwater

best 1inchgroup post everLaugh2

All of the sarcastic replies you are receiving are because you made an accusation without proof. I have heard lots of negative things written about lever arms customer service in the past. The only problem I've had is that they did not price match. My problem was solved by going to Reliable gun that did price match.

Here is something to remember going forward. "All racists are a$$holes, but not all a$$holes are racist." Chances are the boys at Lever were just being a$$holes.

Im a racist, are you calling me an a**hole ?

honestly, no matter how much i like my job, when someone comes and asks for something complicated (like the purchase of a new gun) 10 mins before close, i always get kinda annoyed. Nothing personal on my part.

Its just that i dont make the best wage (and probably neither do the guys working at lever arms) and having to work even 5 minutes longer after your supposed to be done just plain sucks.

Is it right? Who knows. I highly suspect it was 'racism' as opposed to just plain old 'damn, i was supposed to go home in 10 minutes'.

don't think it's as big of a deal buying a gun anymore (non-restricted) you can probably be a better salesman now and not send someone packing 10 minutes before close.

Mistake Number 1 is going to LeverArms, they always have lousy service. Last gun store I got to in lower mainland; rather wait for the delivery from Timbuktu than go to LA.

Mistake Number 2 is going 10 minutes before they close cause every store provides lousy service prior to closing.

Mistake Number 3 is unsubstantiated accusations, makes you look like the bias, racist bigot.

Mistake Number 4, see mistake number 1, worth repeating.

Everybody lies.

I don't shop there (I'm white) they have #### service and are farther from my house than reliable or Italian!

I was specifically told to go there by one of my buddies because according to him they always honor a military discount, I almost had to wrestle him for it.

My first firearm purchase was an SKS and ammo deal from Lever Arms. I asked them on the order form to pick out a nice one as it would be my first ever gun. They sent me a 54 Izhevsk that shoots like a dream and infected me with the SKS bug horribly. Just sayin'.

Yes, true. Lever sucks.

I have bought one SKS from them and a magazine and $2,000 worth of ammo the next time.

THEY SUCK.

The store is like a warehouse, the staff behaves as if you are doing them a favour.

Ordering online? Have you ever looked at their shipping prices?

Seriously, that store should close down.

I got the old stink eye from Lever Arms once. It was becouse I dry-fired an AR. A Colt too, back In the 90's. I've bought from them since.:ar15:

Not sure why, but this post makes me laugh. I've never been to Lever Arms but I'll drop in some time when I am in the area.

Now I know why I like Lever Arms so much. It reminds me of the Army, visiting the QM.
"This is a STORE. If we gave it to you, it would no longer be STORED. Now f_ck off!".
Of course, that was because I was Catholic.
