Very unfortunate story to share - but feel I need to as a warning to all potential Stoeger purchasers.

Two years ago I purchased a stoeger side by side from P and D in Edmonton. My bad for not examining better, however once I got home, I discovered two hairline cracks in the stock. After shooting/hunting with it a bit it they have opened up pretty badly.

For two years now I have had nothing but a run around from Stoeger Canada related to getting a new stock sent. My request has been very simple- Just let me buy a new stock- no warranty process demanded, no drama, not asking for a free replacement, I've got the money, simply sell and send me a new stock.

Nope- they can't do that - I've demonstrated proof of purchase, and all they have done is move the goal posts with each email I've sent as to why they simply can't sell/send me a new stock.

Totally regret having purchased this brand- Beware.

Just a question - why didn’t you send it back to the store and let them deal with Stoeger? Would they mot take it back?

Wondering if this is a Stoeger issue or a P&D issue. - or both.

I agree^^^^ let them deal with it. With word of mouth that gets a firestorm worth of bad publicity this isn't worth handling this HOT POTATO

I’ve bought guns online that arrived defective. They went straight back to the store for an exchange. Never once had a store say they wouldn’t take care of it.

Warranty is different. Warranty is when it breaks during use months after it was purchased. This guys shotgun arrived with a cracked stock. That’s not a warranty issue, that’s a store that sold a broken item to a customer. I’m just wondering if he asked them if they’d exchange it, and what they said.

it's not a store issue ready the warranty cards
40 years in the buissness felt with stoeger and all company's even did warranty for company's
i guess you have more experience in the business
try sending a gun back to a retailer today

I'll buy again from a company that proves they'll promptly make an issue right, but a company that takes warranty service as a chance to #### all over their reputation won't be getting any further sales from me.

Blacklisting Stoeger Canada means doing the same to Benelli, Beretta, Tikka, Sako, Franchi, Burris, Steiner and others. That's a big ask.
Not asking to BAN Stoeger, just their house brand.
The rest of their distribution is generally dealt with via factory warranty.
So phukm.

The sad fact, is that with many stores, you are left to deal with the manufacturer yourself. One exception has been Prophet River, they have replaced several defective firearms for customers, and then dealt with the manufacturer , so rhe customer doesn't have to.

The retailer should have contacted stoeger and requested the stock when the stock came they send it out to you - my suggestion is to remove the stock carefully and take it to a woodworking place - they should be able to fix it for you. Or you may want to pick up a tube of Gorilla wood glue and fix it yourself.

Prophet River is a top notch outfit never ever had any issues with them.

For those that have 'Never heard of her" he you go.
And yes, I too have little support for the br __ nd
Unfortunately Grain it is sadly very true a Very BIG ask.
Think the upside down stock was on purpose, or an AI gaff?
[Edit] on purpose as it broke.

Who does the warranty here or lack there of?is it Gravel Agency? Had issue with Rossi and warranty with them gave up and traded the rifle off needing repair. Will NEVER touch another Rossi again
