Do not buy Stoeger and expect service

Very unfortunate story to share - but feel I need to as a warning to all potential Stoeger purchasers.

Two years ago I purchased a stoeger side by side from P and D in Edmonton. My bad for not examining better, however once I got home, I discovered two hairline cracks in the stock. After shooting/hunting with it a bit it they have opened up pretty badly.

For two years now I have had nothing but a run around from Stoeger Canada related to getting a new stock sent. My request has been very simple- Just let me buy a new stock- no warranty process demanded, no drama, not asking for a free replacement, I've got the money, simply sell and send me a new stock.

Nope- they can't do that - I've demonstrated proof of purchase, and all they have done is move the goal posts with each email I've sent as to why they simply can't sell/send me a new stock.

Totally regret having purchased this brand- Beware.
I had a few sxs stoegers, poorly made cheap guns

I feel your pain, but with a different manufacturer. Howa.... it had a bad barrel from factory & been trying to get a rifle replacement for nine months already, dang frustrating to say the least. Dealers can't, or won't do anything for you so your left to the mercy of the importer & Legacy in the US.

just an FYI - I'll have a Howa for sale if or when it ever arrives šŸ˜† 🤣

I was lucky I had good luck with Howa and way better luck with Weatherby

Have you tried Contacting Calgary Shooting center they handle the Howa warranties. They Might have a barrel in stock to have yours redone

I actually just contacted them a couple days ago and he said it just arrived there. So if anyone is intrested in a brand new Howa 1500 mini carbon stalker in 22ARC, it's up for sale. New in box. šŸ˜† 🤣

I have similar experience. Brought a Franchi over under and forearm cracked after a year. Franchi has 7 year warranty. After contacting their service department, I sent my shotgun to Stoeger Canada for warranty service in last December. I only got 1 email from them saying the part is on back order. And in the past 3 months, I tried to follow up with them by email, phones to their call centre and the warranty manager extension - 0 response in 3 months.

I wonder if customers with similar experience can do something like small claim sue to the company or emailing head quarter of Beretta group? What Stoeger Canada is doing here damaged the brand image for sure. I will put a second thought before buying any firearms under the group.

Years back they were bringing in Benelli SBE's from the US with a sheet in the box with a 10yr warranty, they would not honor it in Cda, remember someone complaining about that, believe it was on CGN.. Tikka TAC A1 came with a mail-in spare mag offer, only good in US apparently, in the US, some countries had two in the box, Cda only got the one. They're a strange outfit in some regards.

I overheard two skeet club members groaning about the service from Stoeger and giving high praise to Browning for excellent service.

Based on that, I'm sticking with Browning. The only Stoeger product I own is Tikka.

Stoeger is a company that can pass itself off as American while only selling Turkish products. They are owned by Benelli/beretta (or were) as a way to market a cheaper option to consumers, essentially Benelli rebranding Turkish Benelli clones, selling them under a recognizable brand name, then treating the owners like owners of Turkish Benelli clones. I’m sure there are stoegers out there that run but if it’s the same gun why not just buy the ā€œsulun ultra tacticalā€ or whatever knowing there’s going to be no aftermarket support either way.
