Do PAL/RPAL references see your full application?

Does anyone know what references can actually see when signing your PAL/RPAL application online?

Specifically, can they see your personal/medical/mental health history section, or do they only see the part where they confirm your identity and sign?

I called the CFP and they told me they don’t disclose that info directly, but references may still see the full application when signing online.

Can anyone confirm from experience what references can view?

I highly doubt..

I don't have any experience with the new online stuff but I've been a reference for numerous people and back then it was just a call and questions about their character, mostly if they've ever shown signs of violence. I only ever got called on time.

I don't recall the exact stats, but the percentage of reference checks that were actually being done was very low... Again not sure how things have changed with the online application process.

But what do they see when they’re sent the link to sign off on your online form? Do they see the full application and the answers to the personal info section?

What do they see when they receive a link to sign off on your online application?
Probably nothing more than what they already know. Why are you worried about what the references may see?

My friends/references know alot about me. Nothing on an application will they be shocked about.

I take some meds that only my doctor and pharmacy know of. My behaviour is otherwise normal and I’m not ready to have that convo with my references.

I just did my youngest son's back in December. I think all I saw was the name, address and basic contact info along with the picture. But I have to admit I didn't pay that much attention to the details. They did have the city of birth in there, because he had a mistake on it and I let him know about it.

My co-worker applied for a new online application for his PAL and YES, as a reference I got to see the information of his entire application with the exception of his other second reference information (only saw my info). Showed all details that are on the form (former partners, mental health tickboxes etc). also, an opportunity to express any concerns.
I just renewed my PAL and listed him as a reference. He didn't get any emails or even a link to review my renewal. Guess they're less concerned with renewal vs new application

This was within the last year, as you can apply for your license fully online now.
