Do you ever trim 9mm cases?

Trimming can be because an expensive case has stretched or to ensure ultimate accuracy.

9mm is not a 1/2 MOA round, not ever, not in a million years and the brass is dirt cheap - range confetti.

Toss, mourn for one nanosecond, move on.

well do you ever measure it to see if a case has stretched?
no risk of pistol malfunction or overpresure like with a rifle?

9x19 has a max SAAMI pressure of 35,000 psi. .308 Win, .270 Win, 7mm Rem Mag - they're all over 60,000 psi. Stay within limits and a 9mm case will last almost forever. It's not subjected to the same forces. Things like head separations are so rare as to be invisible.

Now, if you double-charge, you'll know it...

9x19 brass will normally last for a long time yes but forever is definately not guranateed. If you go though enough fired 9mm brass you will find split cases, largely from work-hardening brass after many reloads. That said most 9mm will indeed be reloadable many times without special prep (I wash range pick-up brass, tumble when dry and reload)

When the neck splits or the primer doesn't hold in the pocket throw out the brass. No need to trim 9mm....ever.

I do zero prep work on my cases. They get inspected before being put in MTM cases and again when loaded in a mag. That is all.

When dealing with reloading it's always better to ask than to guess. My post was not meant to sound persnipity...
