I'm looking for someone who owns one to tell me if they found it a little heavy or not. I've been looking at the S&W and its an amazing gun with t he wooden grips "627"

Also just want to hear your overall likes and dislikes

thanks

I've shot my buddy's Performance Centre 627 which holds 8rnds. It's an N-frame so a bit bigger and heavier than my 686. The added heft is well balanced and actually manages recoil better imo. He's putting it on consignment so if you're interested....

I can't remember which gun mag had it in a couple years ago, but they were touting the gun as a "shield gun" for that member of a SWAT team.

One option I thought interesting was SWAT's idea of a reload: one revolver on hip, another revolver mounted on the shield. Your primary runs dry, you just go to the secondary. Have to admit, 16 rounds of fullhouse .357 is pretty potent.

Wasn't that .38 super on a full moon clip or something?

I have one and like it better than the 686 that I sold to buy it, it's lighter in my opinion as the barrel is shorter under lug is narrower, the trigger and sights are better also you can't go wrong with one....:)

Hey MIB.
Here's mine. I love it. cant go wrong with 8 rounds of 357.
and very accurate. Nice weight to it.
The only dislike so far is that I have had a lot of FTF with CCI ammo. Federal works great. even better when using moon clips.
cheers

Yes the Smith and Wesson M&P R8 I have one and I F***ing love it; deadly accurate super smooth action they're a bit more expensive than most revolvers but definitely amongst the best. They are made by the S&W performance center so that probably explains that.
