Do you have unfounded hatred regarding certain firearms? I do

Like Dogs, I don't hate dogs, in fact I love dogs I just hate their owners (my work, an office allows people to bring in dogs, it gets pretty annoying when you are trying to type out a report - no one has ever asked if I am allergic - I am not but it illustrates my point of disliking certain dog owners.).

To that end 700's, people who own them love them and reccomend them to new shooters ALL THE TIME! They are not a good starter rifle for the money and effort you have to put in to one to get it accurate. Not to mention all of the quality control issues that they have had as of late. To recommend a gun to a shooter that needs a rail, rings, bedding job, free float the barrel, replace the trigger, raise the cheek height and all of the rest of it - this gun is not a starter gun, it's far from a novice gun and maybe even a step above a gun that an intermediate shooter should be using as a building block for a rifle build whether it is for hunting or long range shooting. It's popular because a long time ago it won a military contract and from there the hype just piled on. I myself even bought a remington 700 in 7mm rem mag as my first rifle and hated it with a passion put about 40 rds through it and sold it. The rifle I bought after that was a savage and I love. But again I go back to the original point, 700's aren't totally bad, I just get frustrated when someone recommends it to a new shooter and says it's great gun. No... It's not.

I have 2 new Remingtoon 700's, my first last year was a 700 CDL in 30-06. Didn't need anything you were talking about. It doesn't need to be bedded, barrel floated or any of that. First off the CDL is a hunting rifle. Secondly right out of the box, mounted a scope picked up a few box's of Core lokt 180gr and after some sighting it was shooting under an inch at 100 yards. Every gun maker makes lemons, except the super elite guys that cost 10k +.... Your exaggeration of Remington is just that. Because you had a bad experience does not make them all bad. Clearly it is a good gun if you can take it out of the box and hit under 1". Not a single jam, quality issue or any such issues. 2nd one another 700 is the same, no issues at all. Both are post recall, I don't see anything wrong for a factory trigger.

Hate is a very strong word. I strongly dislike Savage, and have a distain for the 30-06. No real reason for either just like I'd rather push a Ford than drive a Dodge....

Oh, they're fairly reasonable, I just can't afford the entire line of them. I want one of each, and a spare of most.

I got a CZ 550, CZ 455, and (even though this isn't a real CZ but its still a great gun.) a CZ Redhead. I want a CZ 527, another CZ 550 but full stock in 9.3x62, CZ 75, and a .22magnum barrel set for the 455. I have a CSA as well, different company but still Czech and very similar company policy and procedures.

With that amount of coin invested, you should write CZ looking for an endorsement/sponsorship!

That's all??? I got 5 453s (4 in 22 lr and one 17 hmr), and a 452 (22 mag for work), 2 redhead deluxes, 3 527s (223, and 7.62x39), and a 550 in 270 win. Hoping to add a 550 mag 375 hurt and holler to the stable yet... and maybe a 527 in 204 ruger... Maybe I should ask for an endorsement... lol

I don't hate any inanimate object. I may not care for certain ones and think something is overpriced junk, but I don't hate them. I reserve my hate for people. ;)

Can't say I hate any firearm in particular, but I absolutely loath paying $40 so I can shoot a whole twenty rounds. Such is life I suppose.

I dislike Rem 700 because they are not the best rifles since by the time people are done with them you barely can call them a Rem.

I dislike people modding SKS or Mosin and call them "CUSTOM". Like dressing up a PIG. We posted up show us your custom guns and 95% was Mosin in arch angel stocks and SKS with TAPCO CT cheap accessories.

Dislike Savage Axis because every 2nd post is one forsale.
