Well TI fvcked up, they fvcked up large!!!!

This was painfully evident, way back when the earth was green, and they announced that they had no idea that they could not get the order made, unless a military order came in which they could piggyback on. Or their definition of "scheduled" as in "production is scheduled" as part of the pre-sale hype (from day 1) is different than the entire rest of the conscious world's definition of "scheduled".

All this current crap was predictable, some time ago.

The only part that was not predictable, IMHO, is how buyer's (financiers) like yourself, with the larger/earlier orders are getting the shaft. That is beyond comprehension.

BTW (not directed at you, bfiles), I think I called this a long time ago, being the ineptitude of a certain importer, and my view of how they conducted business. Back in the locked threads, is that, with all the comments from other CGNers telling me how I knew nothing.

Hope you all get some satisfaction, somehow, out of this whole mess.

It's likely the majority of the "bent" ones we are seeing here are within military specs and all end up having the same round count lifespan.

So, would you be happy to pay the same EE price for a "bent" one, vs. a "straight" one? Going hypothetical with that, of course. As we all know, many of these will never see the round count that will burn them out, so in some cases, it will be non-issue. But between the fact that if any show up on the EE, and if you can even get a reasonable number of mags with it, I see the bent ones being a hard sell. EE or other venue.

I can't imagine it would be easy to even get a sight picture, and cheek weld, on a couple of the more extreme ones that look to be in the realm of 3*-5* out of line with the receiver.

And these things that are being discussed in these threads are just the things that show up clear and obvious. If that's what's wrong with what you can see, what about the less obvious things?

All Chinese QC knocks aside, seems that acceptance of crap is really the only choice, as it is already known that it could be between years, and never, for another batch to be made. And if the information is true, that more rifles were made that just this TI order, that are sitting somewhere ( i find it hard to believe that they are sitting in China if they are made, awaiting TI or some other importer to call for them), when someone announces that T81 are for sale in Canada - remaining supply from the same production run as these, I really wonder how fast those are going to sell. Especially considering current "issues", which may in fact not be issues, which are known.

Mags are going to bring a premium. Rifles maybe not so much. DILLIGAF has the right idea. Get it, hose out some bullets, clean it and hang it up in the safe, done.

What could, would, and should have been great for the owners of 1000 T81s is now not so much looking like that.

And therein lieth the problem. My gun is either vaporware or still sitting at ti waiting for them to finally ship it. It might be fine or it might be junk, but right now it might as well not even exist.

Recieved my order today, one folder and one fixed. Never bothered trying to track it and surprised it showed up on a sunday.
That said. No regret with this purchase. Missing a sling and never got the blonde replacement for folder but honestly I didnt like it anyway. They can send me the colour matched one when they get it.

If anything, both these are in better shape than my my AKS folder which was bought new also. Way back when of course.
Anyway, Thanks for the rifles TI.

Hang in there Claven2

I have no intention of buying one from the EE, I already have one.

But hypothetically- it depends. If the ones that don't line up perfectly with a laser still function correctly, then I wouldn't care. This is not the type of rifle I buy for fancy looks and quality craftsmanship.

I can't imagine it would be easy to even get a sight picture, and cheek weld, on a couple of the more extreme ones that look to be in the realm of 3*-5* out of line with the receiver.

If it's so far out you can't use the sights correctly, it's defective, and not at all what I am talking about.

And these things that are being discussed in these threads are just the things that show up clear and obvious. If that's what's wrong with what you can see, what about the less obvious things?

Specifically, what less "obvious things" that are problems have turned up?

I'm having trouble following you here? You are concerned about how well future imports of T81 rifles will sell? That's not my problem, that's the importer/distributor/retailers problem.

Omg - I can't believe it. I got a tracking number. Apparently shipped on the 2nd.

Electronic label created Nov 12, delivery expected Nov 21?!?

So basically it was packed and ready before they ran out of mags, but they delayed sending it so they could rob my mags for someone's fixed stock order. Yay.

Both of my rifles have been updated to shipped. But the order for mags is still showing deposit received.
I will be happy to get these rifles and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a straight example in both types. I will wait like everyone else for mags.
But with 2 rifles I should have 4 mags coming.

Finally I got the tracking number for mine, postlady is going to late me this years, 10 long heavy box keep coming everyday. Lol.

Going to get her a chocolate box as usual.
