When I picked up my Mauser 98k yesterday from Pullen's in Victoria I learned something.

How much people here know the difference between a FN Stripper Clip vs a Mauser Stripper Clip?

I did not know the difference and that a FN stripper clip wont work in a Mauser 98k. Thanks to Pullen he told me and gave me a bunch to start off with.


So how much people here know the difference?

Define "FN Stripper Clip". Do you mean for FN made Mausers, or the FN-FAL?

FN Made mausr stripper clips work just fine, thanks. I have about 50 of them - use them all the time in my 98k's.

I think it was the FN FAL strippers.

Also, normal 8x57 Mauser chargers won't work in a 8x57 SAFN.

On the topic, who has/carries/sells stripper clips for a mauser these days?

last time i went looking for some it took me forever to find them at a reasonable cost....not 5$ a piece for some german capture ones or something ridiculous like that.

Oh and they better fit an israeli BRNO conversion

Just the gun shows, or what people have in their collection. There was bandoleer's of turk ammo sold with stripper clips a few years ago.

And no the FAL one does not fit the Swede.
