Do you like your Ruger Hawkeye?

Rugers seem to be very subjective. Everyone that I know who owns one, loves them. Others have seem to have negative things to say about them. Of course I guess that you could say that about any other brand as well.

I used to be a Ruger snob, IE. you couldn't have given me one a few years ago. Then I made the leap and got the 375 Alaskan - and loved it. Then I got another, and at this time, I plan on buying another in a couple months. You get a whole lot of rifle for the money.

The Hawkeye is an excellent package. Accurate, tough, reliable- not much more you can ask of a factory hunting rifle. Ruger remains one of my favorite gun makers.

I owned three of the Mark II's, one with an early version of the LC6 trigger, which was a definite improvement over the previous two without it. Damn well-built hunting rifles for the money.

Ruger bolt actions in a nutshell...Heavy, overbuilt, reliable, heavy bolt lift {cocking}, heavy trigger pull, fairly accurate, gritty bolts, heavy stocks, canoe paddles are cool, goofy recoil lug, heavy swearing when trying to bed, heavy integral base and rings.
HEAVY!!!
